Beach View Hotel is located just  in Paynes Bay, St. James, on the West Coast of Barbados. Just across the road from the beach. Less than a 10 minute drive away is Holetown, the island’s second largest town, where you can find great shopping facilities, restaurants, banks, supermarkets and nightlife. Bridgetown, the island’s capital, is just a 15-20 minute drive away. Warrens is a 10 minute drive.

Beach View Hotel opened in December 2008 as a 36-unit condo hotel. In 2018, we expanded onto the adjoining land & added 19 new units as well as a host of new amenities including 2 new pools, a new reception building, full-service restaurant, spa & salon & fitness centre.

Barbados has its own currency, Barbados dollars (BD$). The rate of exchange is US$1.00 = BD$2.00. US dollars are readily accepted throughout the island and Beach View will also accept Sterling, Euros and Canadian dollars.

The closest bus stop is located on the main road in front of the hotel.

We offer a pre-arrival grocery stocking service. Place your order here.  The Hut on property also sells a variety of groceries & sundries. Alternatively, there is a large supermarket, Massy, in Holetown, a 10-minute drive from Beach View. There is also a mini mart in walking distance.

Sandy Lane – a 5 minute drive from Beach View offering 3 courses.

Royal Westmoreland – a 15 minute drive from Beach View.

The Barbados Golf Club is also available to the public and located on the South Coast at Durants, approximately 35 minutes away.

Beach View is located on the West Coast of the island – the Caribbean Sea. The waters are very calm and safe for swimming and snorkelling. At certain times of the year however, the current can become stronger than normal and regular caution should be taken at all times.

Yes, the Sugar Apple Cafe is located on site. Independently operated & open daily for breakfast, lunch & dinner. There is also The Hut on property for coffees, snacks & light lunches – try the famous Bajan Ham Cutter!

All units are equipped with stacked washer and dryers as well as an iron and board. Dry cleaning facilities and a laundry service can be outsourced for an additional fee, through reception.

Yes, there is a small spa and hair salon on property, offering a range of massage & beauty services.

Yes, we have a small fitness centre on property. We also offer yoga classes & aquacise classes, for a fee.

All suites & villas at Beach View feature full kitchens complete with dishwasher, microwave, stovetop, oven, fridge & freezer with ice maker, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and a number of other appliances.

Hotel Rooms feature a kitchenette with microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker & under-counter fridge.

Yes, Beach View is a great property for families and kids of all ages.

Yes, baby cots can be provided at an extra cost.

We do not have a kids club on property but can arrange private baby-sitting in your room at an extra cost. We work with an experienced company that offers babysitting services. In order to guarantee a babysitter they require at least 24 hours notice, but will do their best to ensure that last minute babysitting is organised.

No, we do not have facilities to accommodate animals.

Yes, a room attendant will clean your suite every day.

Airport Information

Beach View is approximately 40 minutes’ drive from the airport.

Airport transfers can be arranged at a cost of US$ 60.00 for 1-3 persons or US$ 90 for a van to carry 4-6 persons + luggage. Please note that extra fees apply for excess luggage & also for transfers between midnight & 6am. Contact us for more information.

Booking Terms

We require a 3 night deposit per week to guarantee your reservation, with the balance due on arrival. For reservations of 3 nights or less, full payment is required to guarantee confirmation.

Cancellations received more than 14 days prior to arrival date will receive a full refund on their deposit. For bookings during the period 20 December – 8 January, deposits are refundable if cancelled more than 45 days prior to arrival. Refunds are not offered for no-shows or early checkouts. 

Beach View strongly advocates the purchase of Travel Insurance to minimize potential financial loss, as the company is under no legal obligation to offer compensation related to any storm event.

The following policy is offered as a gesture of goodwill and without prejudice and applies to the hotel portion of the stay only. The policy and procedures will take effect if a hurricane watch (48 hours in advance of a possible hurricane) is issued for the island.

On property guests:

– Early Departure: If you choose to leave the hotel, a hotel credit (valid for travel June 15 – November 30) will be issued for the number of interrupted nights. No cash refunds will be provided.

– Extended Stay: If you are forced to extend your stay due to storm-related flight delays, the hotel will honour your original nightly rate for each additional night, payable in full upon departure. 

Arriving Guests:

For guests who are unable to arrive due to flight cancellation, hotel closure or flight delays related to the storm/hurricane the following options will be offered:

1. Guests may choose to arrive within 30 days after the storm has passed with the following options:

  •  For the same number of nights without an increase in the nightly rate. In this case the hotel will make every effort to confirm the dates requested and the original room category.
  • Stay for fewer nights, in which case the hotel will issue a hotel credit valid for travel June 15 – November 30 for the number of remaining nights. Subject to availability at the hotel.

2. Guests may choose to postpone arrival for more than 30 days after storm has passed.

  • The hotel will apply full credit for the hotel portion of the holiday only, for travel June 15 – November 30. The hotel will guarantee the original rate (and category, if available), for travel June 15 – November 30.

The hotel may, at its sole discretion, require that all arriving guests reschedule their visit until after the storm has passed. Should such notification be issued a full (Hotel Only) credit will be authorised for travel June 15 through November 30. The hotel will guarantee the original rate (and category, if available).

Arriving guests who elect to arrive, despite our announcement to the contrary, do so with the implicit understanding that no compensation will be forthcoming for any disruption of services and/or inclusions which may occur as a result of the storm.
