Beach View is a hidden gem in the heart of it all, offering a unique family charm, spacious accommodations and an exceptional location—without the hefty price tag of many neighbouring properties. Whether you’re planning a relaxing beach holiday or an island adventure, Beach View is the perfect base from which to explore Barbados.
Paynes Bay, one of Barbados’ most beloved beaches, is located directly across the road from Beach View. Known for its calm waters, excellent swimming and spectacular sunsets, it’s the perfect place to spend your days soaking up the Caribbean sunshine. Borrow beach chairs, umbrellas and snorkelling gear from our team and enjoy the beach at your own pace. A short stroll along the shoreline will take you to one of the island’s most popular turtle spots, where catamarans regularly anchor and guests often have the opportunity to swim alongside Barbados’ resident sea turtles. Watersports including jet skiing, waterskiing and glass-bottom boat tours can also be arranged nearby. If you enjoy cooking, the Paynes Bay Fish Market is just across the road, offering a variety of fresh local fish daily—perfect for preparing a Bajan-inspired meal in your suite or villa.
Within walking distance of Beach View, you’ll find world-renowned restaurants including The Cliff and QP Bistro, along with local favourites such as Chef Glam, Cariba, Mr. Vic, De Clay Oven and The Roti Den.
A short walk or quick drive south brings you to Bikini Beach, a laid-back beachfront spot perfect for lunch, cocktails and lazy afternoons by the sea.
On Sundays, don’t miss Holders Farmers Market, where you’ll find local produce, artisan goods and a wonderful community atmosphere.
For beachfront dining, we recommend La Cabane, Il Tempio, Sea Shed, JuJu’s and Lone Star—all popular West Coast favourites offering fantastic food, beautiful views and a true taste of island life.
For dining on the water, The Tides is one of the best in Barbados, upscale and worth a trip. Also, stop by Paul Owens at The Beach House and its sister restaurant, Drift.
Off the water, head to 2nd street for a range of cool options including Nishi for sushi, Sitar for authentic Indian food, The Mews for farm-to-table, a fantastic wine list & late-night drinks and dancing. At the end of the strip, Jeremy’s Piano Bar will sort you out with entertainment & late night drinks & dancing.
If shopping is your thing, don’t miss Limegrove Lifestyle Centre. An upscale shopping mall, with fabulous locally owned boutiques like Salt & City and Always Summer as well the posh Cartier, Timothy Oulton and Michael Kors, amongst others. Limegrove also has a selection of restaurants and bars, so it’s a great place to hang out. Try Fusion on the rooftop, The Bearded Rose, Rustic Chef, Lemongrass, Pepenero and Buzzbox.
Top Tip. A trip to Holetown Barbados isn’t complete without a trip to the Holetown Chattel Village. Look for the row of brightly coloured chattel houses and you will find a variety of gift shops selling clothing, jewelry & beachwear, a dessert shop & a very popular café in the centre.
Keeping fit on the agenda? Head to Courtside for tennis, padel & pickleball. An excellent space to play, hang out & enjoy, with new courts & even a bar! Courtside, where sport meets social.
